Location: South Africa

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)

Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / BI Developer to join an established data analytics team supporting multiple healthcare and healthcare-related companies.

The primary focus of this position will be maintaining existing reports, SQL processes, data workflows and recurring reporting tasks. The successful candidate will become an important part of the day-to-day data operations, ensuring existing processes remain accurate, reliable and efficient.

As you become familiar with the systems, datasets and business processes, there will be opportunities to take on more complex development, automation, integrations and analytical projects.

We are looking for someone who is technically capable, dependable and highly detail-oriented, with the ability to take ownership of recurring tasks while independently troubleshooting issues and gradually expanding their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

SQL & Database Support

  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing SQL queries, stored procedures and database processes.
  • Work with SQL Server and T-SQL to retrieve, manipulate and validate data.
  • Investigate data issues and discrepancies across systems.
  • Validate and reconcile information between different data sources.
  • Work with large healthcare, financial, accounting and operational datasets.
  • Independently investigate existing databases, queries and processes to understand how they work and identify issues.

Reporting & Business Intelligence

  • Build, maintain and modify reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Report Builder.
  • Maintain recurring reports and ensure they are accurate and delivered as required.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and investigate unexpected results.
  • Make report changes and updates based on business requirements.
  • Assist with developing new reports and analytical outputs as knowledge of the environment grows.

Data Processes & Automation

  • Handle recurring data imports, exports and routine data processes.
  • Assist with automated workflows involving SQL, Python, APIs, SFTP, CSV/Excel files and other data sources.
  • Support data integrations between internal and external systems.
  • Assist with system migrations and changes to existing data processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or automate manual workflows.
  • Document existing processes, queries, reports and workflows to support continuity and knowledge sharing.

NetSuite & Integrations

  • Experience with NetSuite and external NetSuite integrations is required.
  • Work with NetSuite data and processes.
  • Support existing external NetSuite integrations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining data flows between NetSuite and other systems.
  • Support changes and new integrations as required.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with SQL Server / T-SQL.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, joins, stored procedures and data transformation.
  • Experience with SSRS, Microsoft Report Builder or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience with NetSuite and external NetSuite integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy.
  • Ability to independently investigate existing reports, databases and processes.
  • Comfortable working with large and complex datasets.
  • Ability to work confidently with repetitive and detail-oriented tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage recurring responsibilities reliably.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow processes through to completion.

Thinking of applying? Here's the inside scoop.

Let us walk you through the next steps.

Step 1 – Complete Your Application

Fill in our application form and upload your CV. This stores your profile in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and places you into our active job pipelines, making it easier for us to match you with current and future opportunities.

Step 2 – The First Look (One-Way Video Interview)

This is where your application comes to life. We review your CV and video interview to get a feel for your experience, communication style, and overall fit. If we like what we see, you're on to the next step!

Why do we ask for a video?

Because a résumé can tell us what you've done, but it can't show us you. Your video is your moment to shine, and it helps us see:

  • How you communicate and connect with people.
  • How you present yourself professionally.
  • Other opportunities you might be an even better fit for (bonus surprises!).

Think of it as your personal trailer. One great video means we can pitch you for multiple roles and get you in front of the right employers, faster.

Heads up: Some clients watch your video directly, so make it one you'd be proud to have represent you. This is your highlight reel—make it count!

Step 3 – Let's Actually Talk

A Recruitment Specialist calls to chat about your experience, your availability, what you want to earn, and the role itself. Consider it a friendly vibe check.

Step 4 – The Fine Print, Made Fun

We break down what it's like working as an independent contractor—hours, pay, contract terms, the whole deal. No surprises, no fine-print sneakiness. You'll get it all in writing.

Step 5 – Matchmaking Time

Our Talent Delivery Team plays cupid, matching you to clients where you're most likely to shine. We can't promise everyone gets picked, but we're rooting for you.

Step 6 – Showtime

Got shortlisted? We'll set up your interview, prep you like a pro, and have your back the whole way—with a Reworks teammate right there facilitating.

Step 7 – The Verdict

We chase feedback the second it lands and keep you in the loop.
