Job description

This is an internal role at Weekday. Not a role by a client.

  • Role type: Full time
  • Location: Remote
  • Working days: Monday–Saturday
  • Working with: Founders and the customer success team

Weekday is an AI-native recruiting platform. We are backed by Y Combinator and Venture Highway (now General Catalyst). We have built the largest white-collar talent database in India and have built tools to run outbound recruiting campaigns to them.

About the role

Every week, founders and talent leads book time with us because hiring in India is broken for them. You take that meeting and you take it all the way to a signed subscription.

The pipeline is handed to you. The conversation is not. Thirty minutes with a founder is enough to either earn a customer or lose one, and the difference is almost always how well you understood their hiring problem before you started talking about ours. You'll learn the product deeply enough to search live on a call, quote real candidate supply for their roles, and answer the hard question — "why can't my recruiter just do this?" — without flinching.

This is a closing seat, not a coordinating one. You'll be judged on revenue you brought in this month, and you'll know exactly where you stand at all times. Some months that's a great feeling. Some months it isn't.

If you need a defined territory, a fixed script, and quarterly reviews to know how you're doing, this will feel uncomfortable.

What you'll actually do

On any given day you might be:

  • Taking booked demos with startup founders, HR leads and talent partners, and diagnosing their hiring problem before pitching anything
  • Showing exactly how our database and outbound campaigns fill the roles sitting open on their careers page
  • Writing follow-ups people actually reply to, and building the case internally for the person championing us
  • Working pricing, paperwork and procurement to done — not to "waiting on them"
  • Reviving deals that went cold, and killing the ones that were never real
  • Bringing objections and lost-deal patterns back to the founders and product team
  • Sitting in on early customer success conversations so what you sell is what gets delivered

You'll be measured on whether deals closed — well, and on time. Not on activity.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years selling B2B SaaS or services, with a number you owned and hit
  • You're curious on calls — you ask the second and third question instead of jumping to the demo
  • You can explain a product simply to a founder who has ten minutes and no patience
  • You chase things down. Nothing sits in your pipeline untouched for a week
  • You're straight with people — no overselling, because customer success has to live with what you promise
  • You want to understand recruiting deeply, not just sell software
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and a Monday–Saturday pace

What you get

  • Warm, qualified demos from day one — you spend your time selling, not prospecting from zero
  • A product built on the largest white-collar talent database in India, with 1000+ companies as proof
  • Direct exposure to the founders and how decisions actually get made
  • A real look at how a profitable, venture-backed startup is built and run
  • Uncapped upside if you can close

Apply once. Then go straight to the hiring manager.

After you apply, unlock the direct contact details of the people who actually make the call. A quick follow-up makes you 5x more likely to land an interview.
