About the Role
Three Link Solutions is looking for a Workday Financials Lead to build, scale, and lead our Financials practice within the Workday GO program. This is a hybrid player-coach role: you'll spend meaningful time delivering hands-on project work against a defined utilization target, while also owning the strategic build-out of the Financials line — standardizing delivery methodology, developing your team, driving process improvement, and keeping the practice ahead of new Workday product releases.
This role is ideal for a seasoned Workday Financials consultant who is ready to move from "great delivery contributor" to "practice builder" — someone who wants to shape how a Financials program is scoped, staffed, delivered, and continuously improved, while still staying close to the tenant.
What You'll Do
Program & Practice Development
- Build and scale the Workday Financials Program for Workday GO deployments, including delivery methodology, playbooks, templates, and standard configuration approaches optimized for fixed-scope, accelerated engagements.
- Define and maintain scoping standards for Financials (Core FINS, uplifts, add-ons) in partnership with sales and pricing/scoping owners, ensuring hours and packages stay grounded in real delivery experience.
- Own continuous improvement of the Financials delivery model — identifying bottlenecks, standardizing repeatable components, and building efficiencies that reduce delivery time without sacrificing quality.
- Monitor new Workday product releases and feature updates relevant to Financials, assess impact on GO packages and existing methodology, and drive adoption of new capabilities across the team.
- Champion innovation within the practice — new tools, accelerators, automation, or configuration patterns that increase consultant efficiency and improve the client experience.
Delivery & Execution
- Carry a personal utilization/billable target, actively leading and executing Workday Financials workstreams on client implementations (design, configuration, testing support, go-live, and hypercare).
- Serve as the senior Financials point of escalation on active projects — resolving complex configuration issues, tenant conflicts, and scope questions.
- Model best-practice delivery standards for the rest of the team through your own project work.
People Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Workday Financials consultants, including staffing decisions, performance management, and career development.
- Support onboarding and ramp-up of new Financials consultants, including certification planning and skill development.
- Partner with resourcing/staffing to balance bench, utilization, and project demand across the Financials team.
Sales & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales and Solutions on scoping calls, SOW development, and deal qualification for Financials-inclusive opportunities.
- Provide subject-matter input into proposals, LOEs, and quote tools to keep pricing and scope aligned with actual delivery effort.
- Represent the Financials practice in pre-sales conversations, discovery calls, and client-facing scoping discussions as needed.
About You
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on Workday Financials experience, including at least one full-cycle implementation as a lead or senior consultant.
- Strong functional expertise across core Workday Financials modules (e.g., Core Financials, Procurement, Accounting Center/Business Assets, Banking & Settlement, Financial Reporting).
- Demonstrated experience with process improvement and program/practice development — you've built or significantly improved a delivery methodology, not just followed one.
- Experience adapting quickly to new Workday product releases and translating updates into practical delivery and scoping changes.
- Prior experience with direct people management (performance, staffing, coaching, development).
- Proven ability to balance hands-on delivery work with leadership/program responsibilities — comfortable being evaluated against a utilization target while also owning non-billable practice-building work.
- Experience working with or alongside Sales on scoping, SOWs, or deal qualification.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work confidently with both client stakeholders and internal leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Grants experience or certification is a strong plus.
- Experience specifically with accelerated deployment models.
- Active Workday Financials certifications (Core FINS and/or related modules).
- Experience contributing to or building scoping/quoting tools or knowledge bases used by sales teams.
