Job description

Join the company that’s building the telemetry infrastructure for the AI era. At Cribl, we partner with IT and Security teams at many of the world’s biggest enterprises, including half of the Fortune 100, to bridge the gap between AI ambition and infrastructure reality. As the AI Platform for Telemetry, we give customers the choice, control, and flexibility to manage and analyze telemetry for both humans and agents, so they can build what’s next.

We’re one of the fastest‑growing private companies and a leading player in a massive, fast‑moving market. With a global workforce, we’re remote‑first and grounded in a simple idea: software is a people business. Cribl is the place where curious, collaborative people can do their best work, grow fast, and bring their full selves to the herd.

Why You’ll Love This Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help define and deliver Cribl security product experience. You will design for security practitioners across detection, alerting, investigation, triage, search, threat coverage, telemetry, and AI-assisted workflows.

This role requires a genuine security background and the ability to turn complex SOC workflows into clear, trustworthy experiences. You will partner with Product, Engineering, UX Research, and other designers to create a cohesive experience that works seamlessly with our other products across the entire Cribl platform.

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will…

  • Lead end-to-end design from problem framing and research through interaction design, prototyping, validation, and implementation.
  • Design workflows for detection creation and management, alert review, investigation, triage, search pivots, threat coverage, normalization, and enrichment.
  • Apply security judgment to evidence, provenance, confidence, severity, permissions, auditability, destructive actions, and operational risk.
  • Design AI-assisted and agentic experiences that make intent, context, sources, capabilities, uncertainty, and user approval clear.
  • Use Cribl’s design system and contribute reusable components, patterns, guidance, and interaction models when the work has broader value.
  • Work expertly in Figma for exploration, prototyping, documentation, collaboration, and handoff, including libraries, variables, components, variants, and tokens.
  • Partner with engineers, PMs and designers through ideation, development to support feasibility, accessibility, resilience, and high-fidelity implementation challenges.
  • Share work early and often through critiques and working sessions. Give and receive specific, constructive feedback.
  • Use research and product evidence to prioritize opportunities, evaluate concepts, and improve shipped workflows.
  • Communicate design rationale, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical partners.
  • We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones - you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours.

If You’ve Got It - We Want It

  • Required:

    • A security background, such as security product design, security operations, threat detection, incident response, threat hunting, detection engineering, SOC workflows, SIEM, EDR, SOAR, or a related discipline.
    • Understanding of security practitioners’ realities, including noisy signals, incomplete evidence, time pressure, and high-consequence decisions.
    • Strong product thinking and interaction-design skills, with the ability to make complex technical workflows simple without oversimplifying them.
    • Experience designing AI-assisted, agentic, conversational, or other emerging interaction models.
    • Expert Figma skills, including advanced prototyping and design documentation.
    • Demonstrated expertise working in and contributing to design systems. You know when to use existing patterns and when to extend them thoughtfully.

    • Strong communication, facilitation, and problem solving skills, including the ability to make progress when information is incomplete.
    • A portfolio with case studies that show your role, process, decisions, collaboration, and outcomes. Candidates will be asked to present and discuss previous work.
  • Highly desired:
    • Familiarity with research tools such as Dovetail, including transcripts, tagging, themes, repositories, and insights.
