Job description

What we are looking for:

Regional Corporate Social Responsibility Champions.

This is a role, not a job: you will act as a CSR Champion while continuing to perform your job at Berlin Packaging.

You can regard this as a stretch assignment, a project, a new way to exploit your skills and capabilities to do good in and outside Berlin!

There is no additional compensation associated with this assignment...think of it as an additional hat you will wear!

Purpose:

CSR Champions serve as ambassadors of the organization's sustainability, community engagement, and social impact agenda. They help drive employee participation, promote awareness, and inspire positive actions across functions and locations.

Eligibility:

  • Minimum 12 months of service with the company (recommended).
  • Good standing with no active disciplinary actions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to company values and ethical conduct.

Selection Criteria:

1. Passion and Commitment to CSR

Demonstrates genuine interest and active involvement in social, environmental, or community initiatives.

Indicators:

  • Participation in volunteer activities, sustainability programs, or charity initiatives.
  • Advocacy for responsible business practices.
  • Personal commitment to social impact causes.

2. Leadership and Influence

Acts as a positive role model and can inspire colleagues to participate in CSR activities.

Indicators:

  • Ability to engage and motivate teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Respected by peers and leaders.

3. Collaboration and Inclusivity

Promotes teamwork and encourages participation from diverse groups of employees.

Indicators:

  • Build relationships across functions and locations.
  • Demonstrates inclusive behaviors.
  • Encourages broad employee involvement.

4. Initiative and Innovation

Proactively identifies opportunities to create social or environmental impact.

Indicators:

  • Introduce new ideas or improvements to CSR activities.
  • Takes ownership of projects.
  • Demonstrates creativity in solving community or sustainability challenges.

5. Communication and Advocacy Skills

Effectively communicates CSR goals, opportunities, and achievements.

Indicators:

  • Comfortable speaking to groups and sharing success stories.
  • Uses internal communication channels effectively.
  • Promotes awareness and engagement.

6. Ability to Commit Time and Resources

Able and willing to dedicate adequate time to champion CSR activities.

Indicators:

  • Participation in CSR Champion meetings and training.
  • Support for local initiatives and campaigns.
  • Responsiveness and reliability.
