We are looking for a Summer 2027 Sales Intern! Their task is to support the Great Lakes Regional manager in the promotion of ACH Seeds / Crystal Brand Sugarbeet Seed in the Michigan Sugar growing market.

Activities:

Travel to corporate office:

  •  Spend time getting to know functional groups – Crystal Brand Sales Leader, Sales Operations, Sales IT, Marketing
  • Visit Shakopee research location

Assist Region Manager sales and marketing activities/events:

  • Coordinate with Independent Sales Agents (ISAs)
  • Organize premium items • Homegrown Giving program - selection process
  • MSC Young Farmers golf outing • MSC Youth Project field day – attend and assist
  • MSC Ag Staff appreciation event • Oregon Tour – organize participant lists/info – attend tour and assist as needed
  • Trial cooperator appreciation event
  • County Fairs and local festivals

Agronomic:

  • Assist in facilitating ACH Seed Strip Trial Program – planting, stand counts, soil sampling, tissue sampling, monitoring, and evaluation – collect and organize agronomic information from cooperators
  • Assist with Sugarbeet Advancement Trials – stand counts, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Monitor and evaluate Michigan Sugar Official Variety Trials
  • Work with Michigan Sugar agriculturists – field visits, scouting, crop sampling

Field signs:

  • Sign strip trial locations
  • Distribution of materials to ISAs
  • Assist ISAs with field sign placement and tracking when requested

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the Michigan beet growing area majoring in an 
    agricultural discipline
  • Knowledge of agriculture and farming is a plus
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Skilled in using computer hardware and software including all Microsoft Office programs and comfortable with 
    social media
  • Reliable personal vehicle – reimbursement for business miles at standard federal rate
