Management Consulting

MGT is a public sector consulting firm with a 48-year track record and a forward-thinking attitude. It was established by a group of former public-sector employees to provide creative yet practical solutions to the challenges faced by local and state governments and educational institutions nationwide. The firm has successfully managed more than 9,400 client engagements nationally with a significant percentage of repeat business, reflecting a high level of customer satisfaction.Prior to working with public sector entities as consultants, most of our staff worked in government agencies as executives and managers. This insider's knowledge of government structure, operations, systems, and processes gives MGT the ability to hit the ground running from the very start of a project. Knowing every client and project is different, we have developed comprehensive internal and external resources that enable us to assemble any team required to deliver success. MGT understands lasting and meaningful changes require innovative and bold thinking, and we do not shy away from questioning everything from organizational structures and work processes to the statutes and ordinances that create and guide the work of an agency or institution. MGT is committed to offering useful recommendations that achieve real results and is ever mindful of the practical and political realities an organization may face. Our mission is to provide high quality, value-added consulting solutions that exceed the expectations of our clients. Our purpose goes beyond...to power the work of the public professional in order to advance the lives of the citizens they serve. This purpose reflects a social conscience that gives added meaning to the quality services we provide to our customers. We model this philosophy within our own organization by encouraging community involvement, seeking challenging and creative projects, and supporting a cooperative and rewarding work environment for our employees.

  • Use customer insights, competitive intelligence, win/loss analysis, market signals, and field feedback to continuously improve GTM priorities and sales plays
  • Establish GTM metrics and dashboards for sales-play adoption, influenced pipeline, conversion, win rates, sales-cycle impact, and field engagement
  • Embrace and integrate AI, automation, and emerging technologies into market intelligence, account prioritization, sales-play development, seller enablement, and proposal support with responsible-use practices
  • Present GTM strategy, field insights, program performance, market opportunities, and recommendations to executive leadership and other senior stakeholders

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business, Marketing, Technology, Communications, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
  • Fifteen (15) or more years of progressive experience in GTM strategy, product or industry marketing, sales strategy, business development, sales enablement, or a related B2B function
  • Proven experience launching and scaling sales plays and GTM programs that improve pipeline, adoption, field effectiveness, and revenue outcomes
  • Experience serving SLED or the broader public sector strongly preferred, with knowledge of government buying cycles, procurement, stakeholders, and complex pursuits
  • Experience working with or leading customer-facing technical and industry experts such as Field CTOs, solution advisors, or industry specialists
  • Ability to translate complex technology and advisory capabilities into clear customer value propositions, executive narratives, enablement, and sales motions
  • Strong analytical orientation with CRM, enablement, market-intelligence, and BI tools; demonstrated use of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve insight and productivity
  • Excellent executive communication, program leadership, change-management, and stakeholder-influence skills across Sales, Marketing, practice, pursuit, and operational teams

KEY CHARACTERISTICS

  • Strategic builder and player-coach who moves quickly from market insight to field execution
  • Customer-focused, commercially minded, and influential leader who brings teams together around how MGT wins
  • Curious, technology-forward, and highly collaborative leader who thrives in ambiguity and a fast-paced, acquisitive environment
