Description:
Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in designing, automating, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and application delivery platforms. Strong hands-on expertise in AWS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containerisation, Kubernetes, monitoring, and production operations, with a proven ability to improve deployment reliability, platform availability, and operational efficiency.
Experienced in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with development, QA, security, and data teams. Proficient in leveraging GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted tools to accelerate scripting, pipeline development, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation. Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, provision, configure, and maintain secure and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and related automation tools.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, deployment, and release processes.
- Manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment configuration and operational support.
- Support application releases, environment configuration, production deployments, and rollback activities.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health, availability, performance, capacity, and security using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Troubleshoot cloud, deployment, connectivity, and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
- Implement cloud security, IAM, secrets management, logging, backup, vulnerability remediation, and compliance best practices.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- Collaborate with development, QA, data engineering, security, and architecture teams to improve delivery reliability and operational readiness.
- Support environment readiness and infrastructure setup for new customer onboarding and application integrations.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, deployment procedures, and configuration standards.
- Participate in technical design, estimations, sprint planning, release planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-powered tools to improve automation, scripting quality, troubleshooting, and delivery efficiency.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, cloud infrastructure, networking, IAM, and security.
- Expertise in Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Experience with Git, branching strategies, release management, and deployment automation.
- Strong understanding of Linux administration, networking, application security, and production support practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in healthcare or other regulated industry environments.
- Understanding of HIPAA, data protection, auditability, and healthcare security best practices.
- Knowledge of Snowflake connectivity, data platform operations, and cloud-based integration patterns.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and practices, including vulnerability scanning, code quality, and secrets management.
- Experience with AWS Cognito, Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS, and serverless services.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Familiarity with incident management, problem management, disaster recovery, and high-availability practices.
