As a member of the Steam Power Industrial Sales Team you will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships that enable continued market success and further market penetration in your assigned region.

Job Description

The Senior Sales Manager-Industrial is responsible for leading customer relationships for the Steam Power Industrial Services portfolio in the assigned region. Responsible for orders, commitments and customer strategy for a defined region. They will manage the customer relationship for their accounts in their respective region.

Qualifications:

  • Develop long term strategic plans by customer to drive market / customer penetration in support of Orders, Sales, Cash and Contribution Margin growth.
  • Maintain on-going customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers 
  • Drive a sales pipeline on complex, multi-offering transactions that may include Parts, Repairs, Outage Services, Performance Upgrades, Digital Solutions and Long Term Service / Parts Agreements. 
  • Develop and maintain key Account Plans with detailed insights focused on Customer’s Strategy, Customer ESG Policies, Organizational Structures, Buying Behaviors, Outage and Opportunity Forecasts
  • Continuously monitor and drive the development of the opportunity pipeline for regional opportunities 
  • Provide leadership through the formulation and execution of proposal strategies that capitalize on GE's competitive strengths to serve the customer's needs while meeting GE’s business goals. 
  • Support the maintenance of accurate and current project and opportunity information in NEX 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to manage and influence in a matrix environment 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Integrative team working style 
  • Time management skills and ability to work across functions 
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline from an accredited college or university OR (High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry)
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in the Power Generation Industry 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with, and knowledge of, Steam Turbine / Generator technology products and services
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Marketing, Sales, Project Management or Customer Service in the Power Generation industry

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
