Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Test Lead to lead a team of QA professionals supporting the  delivery of our SaaS insurance platform. This role combines hands-on testing leadership with people leadership responsibilities. You will be accountable for quality outcomes across projects, coaching and developing team members, improving automation adoption, and driving AI-assisted testing practices.
You will play a key role in building and maturing Monvia's offshore Quality Engineering capability while partnering closely with Australian-based Product, Delivery, and Engineering teams.

This is a leadership role for someone who can balance operational delivery excellence today while helping shape the future of testing through automation, continuous quality, and AI-enabled ways of working.

What You’ll Do
You’ll be the kind of person who:

• Test Leadership & Delivery
  
• Lead testing activities across multiple projects and product releases.
  
• Own quality outcomes for assigned initiatives.
  
• Develop and oversee test strategies, plans and schedules.
  
• Ensure adequate test coverage across functional, integration, regression, performance and UAT activities.
  
• Monitor testing progress and manage risks.
  
• Provide quality status reporting to project managers and stakeholders.
  
• Support release readiness reviews and production deployments.
  

People Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals.
  
• Conduct performance reviews and development planning.
  
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and capability development.
  
• Develop career pathways for testers and automation engineers.
  
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and collaboration.
  
• Build and maintain a high-performing Philippines QA capability.
  

Automation & Quality Engineering

• Drive automation adoption across projects.
  
• Define automation roadmaps and priorities.
  
• Improve automation coverage and efficiency.
  
• Review and approve automation frameworks and standards.
  
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual testing effort.
  

Desired technology exposure:
FitNesse; Playwright; Selenium; API Automation; CI/CD Pipelines; Git; AI & Innovation Leadership; Champion the use of AI to improve productivity and quality outcomes.

Requirements

What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who:

• 8+ years software testing experience.
  
• 2+ years leading testing teams.
  
• Experience delivering testing within Agile environments.
  
• Strong knowledge of test planning and execution.
  
• Proven stakeholder management experience.
  
• Experience managing offshore or distributed teams.
  
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
  
• SaaS platform experience preferred
  
• Insurance domain experience preferred
  
• Playwright/Fitnesse experience preferred
  
• Automation framework experience preferred
  
• API testing experience preferred
  
• JMeter experience preferred
  
• AI-enabled testing tool experience preferred
  
• DevOps or CI/CD exposure preferred
