Summary:

In this role, you will provide clinical and strategic consulting expertise to help clients achieve supply expense management objectives through effective value analysis. You will assess and optimize value analysis processes to support high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective products and services. You will collaborate with clinical and business leaders to advance initiatives that improve processes supporting patient care, education, and research.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in value analysis and advise clients on cost-effective approaches to product and service selection, pricing, utilization, and quality patient care.

  • Guide clients and project sponsors through value analysis processes and lead value analysis investigations as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and allied healthcare professionals to identify needs and initiate product and service evaluations.

  • Coordinate with evaluators, suppliers, and client teams to obtain products and services needed for evaluation.

  • Lead implementation of approved product and service conversions in collaboration with supply chain teams, educational resources, suppliers, and user groups.

  • Perform scenario and financial analyses to evaluate proposed programs, processes, products, and services.

  • Research, analyze, and present findings objectively to support informed decision-making and measurable outcomes.

  • Lead complex consulting engagements, teams, and projects that advance supply expense management and value analysis objectives.

  • Develop collaborative relationships with clinical, operational, and executive clients to build consensus and facilitate change.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, procedures, systems, quality, and client service.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Nursing degree and clinical experience preferred; advanced degree in business administration, health science, or a related discipline preferred.

  • Experience leading cost-savings initiatives within complex healthcare environments or consulting engagements required.

  • Experience with value analysis, product evaluation, and product cost-reduction initiatives required.

  • Demonstrated program planning, project management, performance improvement, and change management skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of financial and accounting concepts.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and consensus-building skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience presenting to clinical and executive audiences.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
