About Us

Fugro Malaysia Marine is seeking an experienced Senior ROC Senior Surveryor to join our dynamic team in our Kuala Lumpur City Centre office. This role delivers advanced geo‑data engineering support by providing high‑quality remote positioning, navigation and survey services for offshore and field operations. Working from the Kuala Lumpur Remote Operations Centre, the role ensures safe, accurate and efficient execution of vessel offshore activities while producing deliverables that meet industry standards through close collaboration with global project teams and stakeholders.

About the role
What you'll be doing

  • Plan, execute and monitor remote positioning, navigation and survey data acquisition tasks;
  • Ensure all survey‑related aspects of the project meet required standards, including: Validation of offsets and measurements, calibration oversight for positioning and navigation systems, remote setup and operation of survey equipment, and data QC;
  • Compile high‑quality survey reports, calculations and deliverables for internal and external clients;
  • Recommend improvements to methods, workflows, quality systems, and technology usage;
  • Support the development and maintenance of project procedures and remote operating standards;
  • Coordinate with offshore teams, project managers and other geo‑data specialists to ensure aligned project delivery;
  • Perform comprehensive QC of survey data, computations and final reports;
  • Ensure adherence to internal quality frameworks and client specifications;
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and technical support to junior Surveyors and remote operations personnel;
  • Lead or coordinate small teams when required and act as deputy to the ROC manager when necessary;
  • Support acquisition activities and take ownership of escalated technical matters

What we're looking for
 

  • Minimum 3- 8 years of experience as an Offshore or Remote Surveyor in positioning and/or hydrographic surveying. Experienced navigation software such as Starfix Suite or QPS.
  • Past experience in offshore survey navigation tasks, either remotely or onboard survey vessels would be advantages
  • BSC or MSC or equivalent in a relevant survey related discipline including Hydrography, Geomatics, and Geospatial Sciences
     
  • Proficient in English communication, written and verbal
