Job description

Dynata is seeking a Senior Director of Synthetic Intelligence Products to lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of a portfolio of synthetic data products built on Dynata's industry-leading first-party data assets. This leader will define and execute Dynata's synthetic Intelligence product vision, transforming advancements in modeling, simulation, and synthetic respondent generation into scalable, market-ready products that create value for clients and differentiate Dynata in the market. 

Reporting to the VP, AI and Intelligence Products, the Senior Director will establish a roadmap for synthetic data offerings that expand the value of Dynata's data assets, unlock new research methodologies, and drive sustainable revenue growth. The portfolio may include synthetic augmentation of existing datasets, synthetic sample generation during data collection, digital respondent twins and personas, data quality and validation solutions, and other emerging synthetic Intelligence capabilities. 

Initially, this role will operate as a hands-on product leader responsible for opportunity assessment, customer discovery, product strategy, and commercialization efforts. As the synthetic intelligence portfolio expands, this leader will build and scale a team to support continued growth and innovation. 

Key Responsibilities 

Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership 

  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Dynata's synthetic Intelligence product portfolio. 

  • Identify opportunities to create new products and services leveraging synthetic respondents, synthetic audiences, synthetic augmentation, and simulation-based methodologies. 

  • Develop business cases and investment recommendations for new capabilities and product offerings. 

  • Establish product success metrics, growth objectives, and revenue targets. 

Market & Customer Insights 

  • Lead customer discovery efforts to understand unmet needs and identify high-value applications for synthetic data.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, methodologies, and market trends to inform product strategy. 

  • Assess product-market fit and prioritize opportunities based on customer value, feasibility, and business impact. 

  • Serve as an internal and external thought leader on synthetic Intelligence methodologies and applications. 

Product Development & Commercialization 

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of synthetic Intelligence products from concept through launch and scale. 

  • Partner with research, data science, and engineering teams to translate technical capabilities into commercially viable products. 

  • Define product positioning, packaging, pricing, and go-to-market strategies. 

  • Drive adoption through customer engagement, industry education, and close partnership with commercial teams. 

Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Partner closely with Product, Panel, Technology, Research & Data Science, Commercial, and Operations leaders. 

  • Align stakeholders around investment priorities, roadmap decisions, and commercialization strategies. 

  • Lead cross-functional teams to translate market opportunities into scalable products, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and business impact. 

  • Build and scale a team of product managers as the synthetic Intelligence portfolio grows. 

Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, data products, analytics, market research, AI, or related fields. 

  • Proven experience launching and scaling innovative data, analytics, research, or technology products. 

  • Strong understanding of market research methodologies, panel-based data, survey science, statistical modeling, or synthetic Intelligence concepts. 

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling customer solutions and commercial products. 

  • Experience developing product strategy, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market plans. 

  • Strong analytical and business acumen, with the ability to evaluate market opportunities and product investments. 

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience influencing VP-level and executive stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrated success operating effectively in ambiguous environments and leading emerging product initiatives, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution in highly innovative and rapidly evolving domains. 

  • Experience building and leading high-performing product teams. .

  • Experience working with data, analytics, research, or SaaS platforms preferred.

The base salary range for this position in is $150K-$200K/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A discretionary incentive program may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits, dependent on full-time employment status.
