Responsibilities & skills 

  • Manage client relationships and provide technical support to maintain excellence and drive new product development
  • Support end-to-end implementations to ensure data quality, adoption and customizations needed for customer satisfaction
  • Quarterback account teams and engineering resources to drive success for our customers
  • Execute on customer needs leveraging technical skillsets in a timely manner
  • Attain a holistic understanding of the entire technology from data aggregation to product delivery 
  • Develop and scale the technology from ‘data pipelining’ to ‘innovation’, to ensure accuracy of our data, as measured against client feedback 
  • Develop new product lines such as local pricing, ecommerce intelligence, and supply chain analysis to drive ROI for clients
  • Leverage Data Visualization and UI/UX knowledge to increase customer adoption and ease of use
  • Collaborate with our data science, engineering, and sales teams
  • Adopt a self-starter mentality, and inspire customers to drive value out of our data products
  • Commit to rigorous documentation of coding efforts and train incoming employees and contribute to platform engineering efforts 

Technical skills 

  • Analytics and/or financial reporting knowledge
  • Deep knowledge in Excel and Power Point, storytelling with data
  • Outstanding expertise and hands on experience in SQL or Python
  • Project management tools (e.g. Jira) 
  • Data visualization (e.g. Tableau, Excel, Power BI, Retool)
  • Understanding of time-series statistical methods for outlier detection (Prophet, ARIMA, Tukeys Fences)
  • Preferred but not required
    • Proven experience building, deploying, and maintaining dimensional data models using dbt
    •  familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, ClickHouse)

Experience

  • Building end-to-end data products
  • Driving actionable insights from alternative data sources
  • Retail/e-commerce, market research, startup, or analytical experience 
  • Working with retail or consumer data
  • Scaling  BI infrastructure to 10Tb+ data ingestion
  • Hacker mentality

Preferred Location: NY, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Cincinnati, Minneapolis

Compensation 

The average range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000  depending on experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities. This range reflects our current national expectations for qualified candidates. Exceptional candidates based in our NYC office may be considered for a higher range. Total compensation may also include equity, performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
