We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer.

DESCRIPTION:

Join our team as an SAP ABAP Developer at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you’ll contribute to technology solutions that enable and optimize critical business processes across our global organization. In this role, you’ll analyze business requirements, design and develop SAP solutions, and enhance existing applications to improve operational efficiency and business performance.

As a key member of the SAP Core Team, you’ll design, develop, and enhance ABAP solutions across Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW). You’ll build and support integrations using technologies such as RFC, BAPI, IDoc, Proxies, Web Services, and OData, while implementing enhancements through User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, and implicit and explicit enhancement frameworks.

Working closely with functional teams across FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, and other SAP areas, you’ll translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. You’ll prepare Technical Design Specifications (TDS), provide effort estimates and impact assessments, perform unit testing, and support SIT/UAT, deployments, cutovers, and hypercare activities.

You’ll also provide production support by analyzing incidents, identifying root causes, debugging complex issues, and implementing sustainable solutions. As part of our commitment to quality and operational excellence, you’ll participate in peer code reviews, optimize application performance, follow secure coding and development standards, manage transports through Solution Manager, and collaborate with Basis and Security teams on system changes, roles, and authorizations.

Our collaborative environment encourages technical excellence, continuous learning, and creative problem-solving. You’ll have opportunities to work across both ECC and S/4HANA landscapes while building experience with modern SAP technologies including ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, OData, and Fiori/UI5.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong experience in RICEFW development, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows
• Experience with SAP integration technologies including IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Web Services, Proxies, and OData
