Job description

Product Owner

We are looking for a Product Owner who will focus on maximizing the value of the product delivered by the development team. The ideal candidate will ensure the product aligns with customer needs, business goals, and overall strategy. Acting as an active buffer between client demands and the development team, they will proactively guide priorities, clarify requirements, and ensure the team delivers maximum value. Unlike a Project Manager, this position is not centered on managing timelines and resources.

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision that aligns with company and client objectives.
  • Act as the bridge between business, design, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing stakeholder needs, technical constraints, and user value.
  • Translate customer insights and data into actionable user stories and product requirements.
  • Lead discovery sessions and sprint ceremonies, ensuring clear goals, well-defined acceptance criteria, and high-quality delivery.
  • Make informed trade-off decisions to maximize product impact within time and resource constraints.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, managing expectations and communicating updates proactively.
  • Monitor product performance through data and feedback, identifying opportunities for iteration and improvement.
  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Maintain team focus by effectively managing client input and organizational complexity.

  • Solid experience working with Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and presentation skills in English.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer behavior by leveraging data and researching the product’s market.
  • Be proactive about documenting feature requirements and workflows.
  • Demonstrate independent critical thinking and take actions that add value or align with the product vision.
  • Embrace an experimental mindset, leveraging rapid prototyping and iteration.
  • Availability to work full-time from Uruguay.
  • A degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is a plus.
