Job description

Your role

As Sales Engineer / Account Manager – Valves, you are the key commercial contact for customers and prospects in your region.

Your responsibilities include:

  • managing and developing an existing customer portfolio across Wallonia, Brussels and Luxembourg;
  • identifying and prospecting new business opportunities;
  • understanding customers’ technical needs and advising them on suitable solutions from our range of valves and related solutions;
  • managing the commercial follow-up of projects, from identifying the customer need through to the order;
  • preparing and presenting commercial offers in collaboration with internal teams;
  • building and maintaining long-term customer relationships and developing genuine partnerships;
  • monitoring market developments, projects and opportunities within your sector;
  • working closely with KSB’s Inside Sales, technical and commercial teams;
  • contributing to the achievement of individual and collective sales targets.

The role involves regular customer visits across Wallonia, Brussels and Luxembourg, combined with remote working and regular visits to our Wavre office for meetings, training and exchanges with the team.

Your profile

We are primarily looking for someone who combines technical affinity with a strong commercial mindset.

Ideally, you have:

  • a technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
  • experience in a technical B2B environment;
  • experience in external sales, account management, business development or technical project sales;
  • experience with valves, industrial fittings, pumps, piping, process equipment or industrial installations, which would be a strong asset;
  • excellent command of French and a good working knowledge of English;
  • good knowledge of standard IT tools;
  • experience with a CRM and/or ERP system; knowledge of SAP is an advantage.

  • able to identify opportunities and convert them into concrete projects;
  • autonomous in managing your territory while also enjoying teamwork;
  • curious, proactive and able to understand your customers’ technical challenges;
  • a strong communicator and negotiator;
  • pragmatic and solution-oriented.
