Description

We are hiring an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join its Technical Office team remotely from Egypt.

This role is strictly suited for professionals with a solid background in the lighting industry (lighting companies only), with strong hands-on experience in quotations, tendering, BOQs, and cost estimation for lighting projects.

The selected candidate will play a key role in evaluating RFQs and tender requirements, preparing competitive technical and commercial offers, coordinating with international lighting manufacturers, and ensuring accurate cost and pricing outputs for projects across public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze RFQs, tender documents, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Prepare accurate technical and commercial offers for lighting projects.
  • Develop BOQs, pricing sheets, and detailed cost estimations.
  • Perform quantity take-offs from lighting layouts and project documentation.
  • Conduct lighting calculations using Dialux evo (supporting role when required).
  • Evaluate lighting fixtures and select suitable products based on project specifications and budget.
  • Coordinate with international lighting manufacturers (European and Chinese brands) for technical and commercial inputs.
  • Prepare technical submittals and support full tender submission packages.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications.
  • Support value engineering and cost optimization proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience within lighting companies only.
  • Strong background in quotations, tendering, BOQs, and cost estimation for lighting projects.
  • Must have worked with international lighting brands (European and/or Chinese manufacturers).
  • Strong exposure to public sector / government / infrastructure / large-scale lighting projects.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pricing models, costing sheets, BOQs).
  • Working knowledge of Dialux evo, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset with attention to pricing accuracy.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Photoshop and InDesign are a plus.
