1099 Contractor: Senior Presentation Specialist

The 1099 Contractor Senior Presentation Specialist is highly skilled presentation expert who supports Duarte teams by creating polished, brand-aligned presentation materials within a fast-paced, iterative workflow. They can quickly ramp up on a new brand, work within established creative direction, and partner with internal creative and project teams to build, refine, and finish presentation deliverables. With strong technical expertise across the Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides, they help ensure the final work is visually consistent, clean, and ready for use.

Scope of Support 

Presentation Design 

• Supports the production of polished, brand-aligned presentations in PowerPoint, Keynote, and/or Google Slides 
• Builds, refines, and prepares presentation materials using established templates, brand systems, grids, masters, and approved assets 
• Applies formatting, layout, hierarchy, animation, and visual consistency checks to help ensure files are clean and ready for use 
• Supports chart, diagram, icon, infographic, and slide sequence development based on provided content, sketches, or direction 

Creative & Visual Execution 

• Works within established creative direction to develop clear, visually consistent presentation materials 
• Uses Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator, to create or adapt assets for presentation use 
• Offers practical layout or production recommendations when helpful to improve clarity, polish, or efficiency 

Workflow & Collaboration 

• Partners with internal creative and project teams to support fast-paced, iterative event workflows 
• Communicates clearly about progress, questions, blockers, timing, and file needs 
• Applies feedback efficiently and supports organized handoffs aligned with Duarte’s quality standards 

• 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in presentation design 
• Experience supporting large scale events is a plus 
• Flexibility in work hours and weekend support? 
• Expert level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software (especially Photoshop and Illustrator) 
• Advanced skill in presentation software (PowerPoint, Keynote and/or Google Slides) 
• Communicates clearly and proactively with the internal team, including sharing progress updates, flagging questions or blockers early, and keeping the workflow moving 
• Must be able to demonstrate the engagement with Duarte is not sole source of income and support with invoices from at least 3 other clients providing similar professional services. 
• Must hold business insurance for at least $1M or attain business insurance within 3 months of providing work services. 
• Must showcase services externally through an existing website.? 
• LLC or other Business Classification and Business License strongly preferred.
