The International Violin Competition of Indianapolis (IVCI) was founded in 1982 by the legendary violinist and teacher Josef Gingold. Since its inception, the quadrennial Competition has been committed to nurturing the careers of young violinists while centering the world spotlight on Indianapolis and the city's Midwest hospitality. Participants come to "The Indianapolis"​ from all corners of the world to take part in 17 days of competition, workshops and educational outreach programs, all while being hosted by an Indianapolis family. The Competition has been touted as the "Olympics of the Violin"​ while maintaining the warm, friendly reputation made famous by its founder.

Adjunct Faculty- TESOL

Westcliff University is seeking qualified candidates for the role of a full-time faculty member to support its mission, core values, and student success. We are a forward-thinking, student-centric, quality-driven higher education institution. Our goal is to hire, develop, and elevate faculty who exemplify these values.

Job Summary:


Under the guidance of the Dean(s) and/or Program Chair(s), faculty members provide exemplary instruction and support to Westcliff University students. They have appropriate teaching credentials, including being academically qualified and having taught at least five courses at the undergraduate or graduate levels before a full-time appointment. Potential candidates must possess a terminal degree in their field, coupled with considerable industry experience and proven excellence in both online and on-campus teaching formats.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree from a regionally, nationally, or internationally accredited institution in or closely related to your field
  • Will consider doctorate degrees in progress, provided the candidate has at least 15 credits in the area of specialization in which they wish to teach
  • Experience teaching online, on-campus, or in hybrid format
  • Five years experience teaching at the university level in your discipline
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching students from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Education:

Master's degree from a regionally, nationally, or internationally accredited institution or equivalent
