Test Analyst

About the Role

RPMGlobal (RPM) is seeking a Test Analyst to join our development team to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software used in complex mining and industrial environments.

You will work closely with development and product management to validate applications and systems across web, mobile, cloud, and edge environments, including workflows involving geospatial data, 3D visualisation, AI and connected devices.

This role is ideal for an experienced Test Analyst who combines strong testing fundamentals with technical depth, automation skills, and a high level of ownership for product quality.

These are full-time roles, and while they are remote, candidates must be based in Guadalajara.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute test strategies for complex software features, integrations, and releases.
• Design and maintain automated test suites covering functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end workflows.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, identify risks early, and ensure features are testable and production-ready.
• Validate workflows involving geospatial data, 2D/3D visualisation, APIs, data processing, and AI or Computer Vision resolution.
• Reproduce and investigate complex defects using logs APIs, and other diagnostic tools.
• Support release planning, regression testing, and production validation.
• Continuously improve QA processes, tooling, and coverage.

About You

• 5+ years professional experience in software quality assurance and testing for production applications.
• Ability to design and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks for web, API, or mobile applications such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or Typescript for test automation and tooling.
• Exposure to integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and working platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar tools.
• Ability to validate backend services, APIs, and data-intensive processing workflows.
• Experience with Docker, cloud environments, and testing applications deployed across cloud, on-premise, or edge systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, and a high level of ownership for product quality.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Legally entitled to work in Mexico.

Highly Regarded Qualifications and Experience

• Experience testing geospatial applications, point clouds, 3D models, maps, or spatial data workflows.
• Experience validating Computer Vision, machine learning, or AI-based features, including datasets, expected outputs, and accuracy metrics.
• Experience with drones, aerial data capture workflows, sensors, or other connected field devices.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and agents as part of quality assurance, test automation, or software development workflows.
• Experience in mining, construction, autonomous systems, robotics, or other industrial environments.
