Role: Observability Engagement Delivery Leader

Location: Canada/USA – Remote

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engagement Delivery Leader to lead an enterprise Observability transformation initiative, with an initial focus on establishing the observability foundation, target architecture, monitoring standards, dashboards, alerting, and operational visibility.

The role will own end-to-end engagement delivery, work closely with client leadership and product teams, and ensure successful adoption of observability practices across business-critical applications. The leader will also establish a reusable and scalable model that can be extended across other business capabilities and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of the observability engagement, including planning, governance, milestones, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Partner with client business and technology leadership to define success metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and observability priorities.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the observability strategy, target architecture, monitoring patterns, alerting, and operational visibility.
  • Coordinate across observability, engineering, product, infrastructure, and offshore delivery teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Establish governance, standards, best practices, and a reusable observability model for broader adoption.
  • Drive observability adoption within product teams through enablement, coaching, knowledge transfer, and delivery support.
  • Prioritize business-critical applications and services to improve resiliency, reliability, operational visibility, and member/customer experience.
  • Leverage Splunk and modern observability capabilities to improve monitoring, analytics, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
  • Manage client communication, executive reporting, escalations, risks, and overall stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to expand observability capabilities and create additional value across the customer environment.


Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • 17 years of IT experience, with significant experience in delivery/engagement leadership.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale technology transformation or observability programs.
  • Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, APM, logging, metrics, dashboards, alerting, and service reliability.
  • Experience with Splunk or similar enterprise observability platforms.
  • Strong client-facing and CXO-level stakeholder management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage distributed/onshore-offshore teams and complex delivery dependencies.
  • Strong program governance, risk management, communication, and executive reporting skills.
  • Experience in Insurance or Financial Services is preferred.
  • PMP, SAFe, Agile, or equivalent certification is a plus.
