Job description

At Code and Theory, Designers shape identity systems, campaigns, and digital product experiences that help brands feel distinct and relevant. We’re looking for a Senior Designer with strong visual instincts, sharp craft, and most importantly, deep AI fluency and prototyping momentum: someone who uses AI to think faster, make more, and close the gap between concept and build.

This role is for someone who cares deeply about typography, layout, interaction, motion, and the details that make work feel clear, expressive, and culturally aware. You’re excited to build brands that scale from foundational identity systems to campaign concepts and into real, shippable product experiences and you’re genuinely obsessed with emerging AI tools, building custom workflows, and using them to expand exploration, speed iteration, and raise the fidelity of what you hand to engineering.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design across brand identity systems, campaigns, and digital product experiences (web, mobile, platforms)
  • Create scalable visual languages and design systems that work across marketing and product environments
  • Translate strategy into clear concepts, flows, UI frameworks, and high-craft executions
  • Prototype early and often from interaction/motion studies to clickable and high-fidelity prototypes that reduce ambiguity and accelerate delivery
  • Use AI as a core design tool, not an add-on: build and refine workflows for ideation, iteration, production support, and rapid prototyping
  • Partner with strategists, writers, producers, and engineers to bring work to life end-to-end, with an emphasis on feasibility and build-ready detail
  • Present work clearly, incorporate feedback thoughtfully, and contribute to client conversations when needed
  • Balance conceptual exploration with strong day-to-day design production across multiple workstreams
  • Deliver high-fidelity concepts that developers can build from ensuring what ships looks and behaves like what was intended (handoff, QA, iteration)
  • Manage workload and project timelines to keep design work prioritized, scoped appropriately, and delivered on schedule

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • High AI fluency and curiosity: you’re not just familiar with tools you’re actively experimenting, developing opinions, and evolving your workflow
  • The ability to turn ideas into tangible, testable experiences quickly, using prototypes to drive alignment and decisions
  • Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to own pieces of work independently
  • A portfolio showing strong craft across identity, campaign, and product/UI work (systems + execution)
  • Strong typography, composition, interaction sensibility, and systems thinking with high attention to detail
  • Experience contributing to design systems and applying them across both marketing and product surfaces
  • Comfort collaborating closely with engineers (handoff, feasibility, QA) and working in iterative build cycles
