Job description

The Associate Director, Market Access and Account Management Training will be responsible for aligning training strategies and content to support Eisai organizational goals. Effective execution in this role will have a measurable impact on the organization by enhancing the account management capabilities of Eisai’s commercial teams within the market access and account management functions for both the neurology and oncology business groups.  He/she will be responsible for overseeing the effective pull through of strategy and initiatives for Commercial Market Access and Account Management Training programs for Eisai. This position will act as a subject matter expert in the development of any market access and account management training programs across all business units.  This position will report to the Director Commercial Training and Development, and he/she will be responsible for direct report(s) and assumes a leadership role within the Commercial Training team and will mentor colleagues and assist the Director of Commercial Training on special projects and initiatives.Responsibilities:
  • Enhance team capabilities in market access, account management, selling skills, disease state knowledge, clinical and business acumen application of the Eisai selling model and other ad hoc support.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of team in the areas of - buy and build, oral and infusion delivery channels, data analysis of payer landscape, patient support services, reimbursements and any other relevant areas.
  • Lead the development of continuous learning tools, e-learning, advanced training, experiential training, assessment programs, workshops and classroom presentations to support all sales/ market access training programs and that are aligned to brand and stakeholder needs.
  • Ensure all projects and materials have been through the correct regulatory review process before being delivered to sales forces.
  • Lead and facilitate training as needed, including “Train-the-Trainer” programs when rolling out assigned customer's training programs and materials to MA sales teams.
  • Provide inputs to overall development of MA training plans and related scope/budget, monitor plans in line with budget, and address deviations.
  • Proactively collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., internal teams, external partners such as vendors) and other stakeholders to meet department goals.
  • Manage team development including training & mentoring, communicating expectations and performance evaluation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree with 10+ years of pharmaceutical sales or related experience in the pharma/biotech industry.
  • OR a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Prior experience in relevant therapeutic area (e.g. Neurology, Oncology, etc.)
  • Knowledge of patient support services, payer MA Analysis tools, and understanding of reimbursements.
  • Experience in buy and build; knowledge infusion, data analysis of payers and other relevant areas.
  • Prior experience of making large group presentations at regional and national meetings.
  • Experience in virtual training design & delivery, distance learning. learning management system and contemporary learning systems.
  • 5+ years experience of Account Management and/or Market Access experience
  • Prior experience in vendor management and budget management including cross-functional communication with ability to influence without authority.
  • Business need driven role, based on proven performance in earlier role.

Eisai Salary Transparency Language:

The annual base salary range for the Assoc., Dir, Market Access & Account Mgmt. Training (remote) is from :$170,900-$224,300

Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan & Eisai Inc. Long Term Incentive Plan.

Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
