  • Optimised technology investments and supplier partnerships, delivering measurable business value through effective financial management, license governance, commercial oversight and strategic vendor engagement.
  • A high-performing global SAP Platforms organisation with deep technical capability, clear accountability, engaged teams and effective succession planning.
  • Trusted technology leadership and governance, providing strategic direction, informed decision-making and effective management of technology, operational and cyber risks.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, shaping and adopting AI, automation and emerging SAP technologies to deliver measurable business value and operational improvements.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Extensive experience leading SAP platform engineering squads/teams, operations and transformation delivery within a large, complex global enterprise environment.
  • Strong hands-on technical background in SAP technologies, including SAP Basis, SAP technical architecture, SAP BTP, SAP integration technologies, cloud connectivity, identity and access management, platform operations and enterprise-scale SAP landscapes.
  • Significant experience designing, operating and modernising SAP workloads across public cloud, private cloud and on-premise environments, including AWS, Azure, SAP RISE and hybrid architectures.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering major SAP transformation initiatives involving SAP S/4HANA, BTP, SAP cloud services, Business AI, Joule and enterprise-scale digital transformation programmes.
  • Consistent record of working with globally distributed technology teams, managed service providers and strategic technology partners.
  • Demonstrated ownership of business-critical technology services, including operational performance, resilience, disaster recovery, cyber security, compliance and risk management.
  • Shown accountability for technology budgets, investment planning, commercial governance, software licensing, supplier performance and vendor management.
  • Solid experience being a great partner with SAP, SI Partners and other strategic technology providers, including contract negotiations, critical issues, service reviews and value optimisation.
  • Recognised SAP technology authority with an established professional network across SAP customers, user groups, industry forums, partners and SAP product organisations, with a reputation for influencing strategy, product direction and industry guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, shaping and implementing AI, automation and emerging SAP technologies to deliver measurable business value and operational improvements.
  • Solid ability to influence senior business, technology and supplier partners, translate technical complexity into business outcomes and lead complex multi-functional decisions.

You will work closely with:

  • SAP Application, Product and Transformation teams supporting bp's business-critical SAP landscape.
