Position: CAD Draftsman

Number of hours: Project Based

Schedule: AU Time zone

Key Responsibilities

• Convert PDF files, sketches, scanned drawings, images, and other reference materials into CAD drawings.

• Produce accurate and properly scaled 2D CAD drawings in AutoCAD/DWG format.

• Review source files and interpret dimensions, annotations, layouts, and technical information accurately.

• Modify, revise, and update existing CAD drawings based on provided instructions.

• Ensure drawings follow required drafting standards, specifications, layers, dimensions, and formatting.

• Verify completed CAD files for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission.

• Organize and maintain CAD files, drawing revisions, and related project documentation.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, or other team members regarding drawing requirements and revisions.

• Complete assigned drafting tasks within agreed deadlines.

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when working with complex or incomplete reference materials.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CAD Draftsman, CAD Technician, or similar role.

• Must have experience converting PDFs, sketches, scanned drawings, or images into CAD drawings.

• Strong proficiency in CAD drafting and file conversion.

• Experience using AutoCAD is highly preferred.

• Experience with other CAD software such as Revit, SolidWorks, DraftSight, Civil 3D, or similar programs is an advantage.

• Ability to create clean, accurate, properly scaled, and editable CAD/DWG files.

• Good understanding of technical drawings, dimensions, scales, layers, and drafting standards.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in source drawings.

• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.

• Good organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining drawing accuracy and quality.
