Job Overview

The Global Product Manager - Pressure Sensors (m/f/d) owns and drives profitable growth of a $25M global portfolio of MEMS-based board-level pressure sensors serving respiratory care, medical pumps, and patient monitoring applications. In this role, you will lead portfolio strategy, product roadmaps, pricing, lifecycle management, new-product development, and global commercial execution through direct and distribution channels. 

Job Requirements

  • Global responsibility for the financial performance of products and product groups of high strategic importance from a business perspective, utilizing global information on the market, competition, customer requirements, and applications throughout the entire product lifecycle; provides advice on the design of the technology and process roadmap
  • Full responsibility for assigned product portfolio at own discretion. Independently or as directed, prepares strategic portfolio, competitive, and market analyses and uses these to develop concepts for further development and decision-making proposals for management/the executive board regarding new markets and the expansion of existing markets
  • Ownership of market segmentation, competitive positioning, product roadmaps, new-product business cases, and portfolio rationalization  
  • Develops and oversees the product roadmap for the assigned product portfolio and is responsible for it throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Leads and manages projects for product and portfolio optimization to continuously improve competitiveness
  • Serves as the liaison between Engineering, Operations, and Sales. Facilitates cross-functional communication and consolidated reporting to management
  • Independently identifies and pursues strategic scaling opportunities for business development
  • Supports the sales team in defining target customers (including distribution partners), content marketing, global customer acquisition, application expertise, customer visits, contract negotiations, and pricing (value proposition & pricing)
  • Responsibility for distributor strategy, channel enablement, demand creation
  • Opportunity Champion for product inquiries involving development efforts, with a focus on technical, economic, and strategic aspects in collaboration with the relevant departments; key-metric-based NBO (New Business Opportunities) reporting 

What your background should look like:

  • Completed university degree in a relevant subject area with a technical background (e.g. industrial engineering, business) 
  • 5-8 years in product management, application engineering, or business development
  • Experience with (MEMS- based board level pressure) sensors, semiconductors, or medical devices  
  • Sensor architecture, packaging, calibration, compensation, and signal conditioning  
  • Medical application experience 
  • Experience in end-to-end product management, global portfolio and P&L
  • High level of initiative, independent and structured way of working, confident demeanor, ability to work under pressure and flexibility
  • Very good communication skills and ability to work in a team at various levels, moderation skills  
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, analytical skills, quick comprehension, cross-functional and cross-location thinking  
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
