Job description

Your mission

  • You develop and operate our platforms for scalable APIs, creating the technical foundation for our product and engineering teams.
  • You standardize and automate infrastructure, deployment, and operational processes, enabling teams to deliver software quickly, securely, and independently.
  • You design, implement, and optimize cloud-native platform solutions based on Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • You build and maintain modern CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows, ensuring a smooth software lifecycle.
  • You develop platform tooling as well as internal services and APIs in Go, Python, or Rust.
  • You take ownership of the further development of our API infrastructure, including API gateways, authentication, and authorization concepts.
  • You ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our platform through monitoring, logging, tracing, and performance optimization.
  • You work closely with our engineering teams and continuously improve the developer experience through standardized platform services and self-service offerings.
  • You support the implementation of modern security concepts such as Zero Trust, secrets management, and network segmentation.


Your profile

  • You have experience building and operating production-grade cloud and container platforms, ideally with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • You are proficient in Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform, and are comfortable working in modern cloud environments.
  • You have experience with API gateways as well as common API standards and technologies such as REST, gRPC, GraphQL, and OpenAPI.
  • You are familiar with modern authentication and security protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and mTLS.
  • You have built and operated CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
  • You are proficient in at least one backend programming language such as Go, Python, or Rust and enjoy building your own platform solutions.
  • You have experience with observability and work with monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Topics such as Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), availability, incident management, scalability, and performance optimization are part of your day-to-day practice.
  • You have a solid understanding of networking, load balancing, DNS, and modern security architectures.
  • You think from the perspective of your platform users and enjoy continuously improving.
  • Excellent German and English language skills complete your profile.
  • You are based in Germany and hold a valid work permit.
