**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Research Intern to join our team at Impact Fundry. As an intern, you will play a critical role in supporting our investment team by conducting market research, industry analysis, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the finance industry and contribute to our investment decision-making process.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist in conducting in-depth research on various industries, market trends, and emerging technologies to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Collect and analyze financial data, company reports, and market data to evaluate the financial health and growth potential of target companies.
- Support the investment team in performing due diligence on potential investments, including competitive analysis, customer reviews, and industry benchmarking.
- Help create comprehensive reports and investment memos to present findings and recommendations to senior investment professionals.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare financial models, valuation analyses, and investment scenario simulations.
- Stay updated on market news, economic indicators, and regulatory changes that may impact investment decisions.
- Assist in maintaining databases and records related to investment research and portfolio companies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of research methodologies and processes.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (or recent graduates).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Familiarity with financial concepts, financial statements, and valuation techniques is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present research findings.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- An interest in venture capital, private equity, and investment management.
