Job description

Lead projects. Win work. Grow our presence across Scotland.

SLR is a global leader in sustainability solutions, working with clients to help make sustainability happen, within a collaborative, people-first culture. As a result of continued growth, we’re looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Principal or Associate to join our established Transport Planning team in Scotland.

This is an opportunity for an experienced consultant who wants to do more than deliver great projects. Alongside technical leadership, you'll be a trusted adviser to clients, a mentor to developing consultants and a visible contributor to business development activities. Working closely with regional and national leaders, you'll have the platform to influence strategy, develop key accounts and help secure the next generation of projects for the team:

  • Lead the delivery of transport planning projects across a diverse client portfolio
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships that generate repeat business
  • Identify opportunities, support bids and contribute to winning new work
  • Lead client meetings, presentations and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage project performance, profitability and programme delivery
  • Deliver high-quality Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans
  • Mentor developing team members and support the growth of the team

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Planning, Environmental and Engineering disciplines on impactful projects, with opportunities to work across the UK as part of a wider national team.
