Job description

We’re building a pipeline of experienced and talented Aviation Meteorologists for several positions to be opened soon. The positions will be onsite, with several locations in the Caribbean and the U.S./Northeast region. 

We are looking for team players with high integrity and a proven track record of supporting aviation operations in a fast paced environment. If you have a strong passion for meteorology with a desire to make a difference in aviation operations, come and join the most exciting weather company!

What you bring:

  • 2+ years of operational experience as an aviation meteorologist - a must.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends & holidays - a must.
  • Experience creating TAFs - a must. 
  • Experience creating convective, turbulence and icing forecasts/outlooks focused on aviation operations over large geographic areas - a must.
  • Experience participating in conference calls pertaining to aviation meteorology.
  • Experience giving verbal/written briefs pertaining to aviation meteorology.
  • Strong familiarity with how various weather conditions (wind direction, wind speed, ceilings, visibility, etc.) will affect runway configurations at a given airport.
  • Strong familiarity with airline operations.
  • Strong familiarity with air traffic management programs and airspace classifications.
  • Strong synoptic and mesoscale meteorology skills, with significant experience forecasting convection, winter weather, tropical weather and fog.
  • Familiarity with impacts of volcanic ash and large-scale dust storms on aircraft and flight patterns/routes.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations.
  • Ability to meet hard deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and pay strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to be an effective communicator.

Anticipated salary range for this role is $105k-$125k subject to local market and candidates skills and experience. Comprehensive health benefits, unlimited paid time off and other benefits included.
