Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IFRS Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent, and at least 5 years of experience in the field. A key requirement for this role is hands-on experience in implementing IFRS 9.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance with IFRS 9, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support various business initiatives and scenarios.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, providing support and sharing best practices.

 

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a strong focus on IFRS 9 implementation.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience in a senior financial analyst role within a multinational or large corporation.
  • Knowledge of other IFRS standards and their application.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP or Oracle.
