Job description

​We are seeking a team of skilled Sr. Network Engineers to support our SD-WAN deployment project, remotely overseeing and supporting SD-WAN upgrades at more than 1,000 locations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network infrastructure, SD-WAN deployment, and remote troubleshooting to ensure seamless integration and performance.

Work Environment and Hours

  • ​​Fully remote position remote position with coordination of on-site technicians and field engineers
  • ​Typical work week hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) will shift to Monday through Friday, approximately 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.​

Key Responsibilities

  • ​​Remotely oversee the installation and turn-up of Velo appliances at remote customer locations.
  • ​Support the deployment and integration of SD-WAN solutions, ensuring optimized performance and reliability.
  • ​Collaborate with on-site teams to configure necessary parameters within the VCO to support the TTU activities.
  • Push configuration updates to the switching equipment on site to accommodate the new SD-WAN devices.
  • ​Conduct pre-installation assessments to validate network readiness and determine the overall health of the location prior to migrating to the new appliance.
  • ​Provide remote troubleshooting support for connectivity issues from a network and device standpoint at the remote locations.
  • ​Ensure proper application of IP addressing, routing VLAN configurations, subnet assignments, and security policies.
  • ​Maintain detailed documentation (pre- and post-implementation) of network status.
  • ​Coordinate with project management and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services to meet planned migration events.
  • ​Work with the customers Change Advisory Board (CAB) process to create and submit change requests, ensuring they are properly reviewed, approved, and implemented without disrupting business operations.​

Required Qualifications

General Requirement

  • ​​Bachelors degree in computer science, network engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)​

General Technical Skills

  • ​​​Ability to remotely guide and collaborate with field teams on installations and troubleshooting
  • ​Excellent documentation skills, including network diagrams and standard operating procedures​​

Specific Technical Skills

  • ​​​At least five (5) years of experience in network engineering, preferably in hardware installation and Velo SD-WAN deployments
  • ​Strong expertise in Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise networking solutions including routing and switching
  • ​Deep understanding of SD-WAN technologies, network segmentation, and traffic optimization​​

Preferred Skills

  • ​​​Experience working with SD-WAN deployment projects, ensuring compliance with IT infrastructure standards
  • ​Certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
  • ​Knowledge of structured cabling, rack layouts, and power distribution
  • ​Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution​​
