Job Description:
The Engagement Manager, Eightfold is responsible for leading successful client engagements across The Grooveβs growing Eightfold practice. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients and is accountable for overall project delivery, including scope, timeline, budget, resources, risks, quality, and client satisfaction.
The Engagement Manager works closely with Eightfold consultants, technical resources, client stakeholders, and The Groove leadership to ensure projects are well planned, effectively governed, and delivered in alignment with client objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Eightfold implementation and consulting engagements from project initiation through deployment and stabilization.
Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact and build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders and project leadership.
Own overall project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, resource planning, risks, issues, dependencies, and quality.
Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, governance materials, RAID logs, financial tracking, and other project documentation.
Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status meetings, steering committee discussions, and other client governance activities.
Partner with functional and technical team members to establish project priorities, coordinate activities, and ensure successful execution.
Manage project scope and identify potential changes early, partnering with leadership and clients to address change requests appropriately.
Monitor engagement financials, including project budget, forecast, utilization, and overall delivery health.
Identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate concerns proactively when needed.
Ensure project milestones, deliverables, and client commitments are clearly defined, tracked, and achieved.
Support clients through key project decisions, organizational dependencies, testing, deployment readiness, and change management activities.
Coordinate across Eightfold, Workday, integration, data, reporting, and other project teams as needed to support successful delivery.
Manage client expectations and communicate project status, risks, decisions, and recommendations clearly and professionally.
Provide leadership and guidance to project team members and help create a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.
Partner with sales and practice leadership during project transitions, scoping discussions, and expansion opportunities.
Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes, strengthen delivery processes, and expand The Grooveβs relationship with existing clients.
Contribute to the development of Eightfold delivery methodologies, templates, tools, and reusable practice assets.
Represent The Groove professionally and model our values in all client and team interactions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, enterprise technology implementation, project management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience leading enterprise technology implementation projects or client engagements.
Demonstrated experience managing project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and client expectations.
Experience leading cross-functional project teams in a client-facing consulting environment.
Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS implementation methodologies and project lifecycles.
Experience facilitating client meetings, project governance, executive communications, and status reporting.
Strong financial and commercial awareness, including experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and scope.
Demonstrated ability to identify risks, resolve issues, manage escalations, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both project teams and executive stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and engagements.
Ability to build strong client relationships and establish credibility as a trusted advisor.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed, and client-facing consulting environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience implementing or supporting Eightfold AI or another talent intelligence or HR technology platform.
Experience with talent acquisition, recruiting, talent management, workforce planning, or other HR technology solutions.
Experience working within the Workday ecosystem or for a Workday services partner.
Experience managing Workday, Eightfold, or other enterprise SaaS implementations.
Experience managing projects that include multiple technology platforms or third-party integrations.
Experience supporting sales pursuits, project scoping, statements of work, or expansion opportunities.
