Job description

On behalf of our client, a payment-provider orchestration company, we are looking for a Junior Full-Stack Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

About Our Client

Our client is building a payment-provider orchestration platform that helps businesses integrate, manage, and switch between payment services without rebuilding their systems each time.

They value thoughtful engineering, simple solutions, open communication, and products that work reliably. Their engineers contribute across the whole product lifecycle — shaping requirements, weighing technical trade-offs, building, testing, and deploying.

If you want to grow across the full stack, take real ownership, and help shape a growing fintech product, we would like to hear from you.

The Role

We are looking for a Junior Full-Stack Engineer to help build web applications across the frontend, API, and data layers.

You will work mainly in TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, alongside product, design, and engineering. You will start with clearly scoped tasks and take on larger features as your confidence grows, with regular guidance and code review from experienced engineers.

You do not need experience with every technology in the stack. They hire for fundamentals, curiosity, and how quickly you learn.

Their Stack

TypeScript · React · Next.js · Tailwind CSS · Node.js · Express · PostgreSQL · Drizzle ORM · Zod · AWS · Git

AI tooling: Claude Code CLI · Codex CLI · AI-assisted code review

How They Work with AI

AI-assisted development is part of how the team builds, not an optional extra. Their engineers use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code CLI and Codex CLI every day — to write and refactor code, explore unfamiliar parts of the codebase, generate tests, and support code review.

They also build AI-driven features into the product itself, so you will work with AI frameworks and APIs as part of normal engineering work.

You are expected to use these tools thoughtfully. You should be able to explain any code you submit, review AI-generated output critically rather than accepting it, and understand where these tools help and where they do not. You do not need prior experience with them — but you do need to be genuinely open to working this way, and willing to learn quickly.

What You Will Do

  • Build and improve product features in TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js

  • Create responsive, accessible user interfaces

  • Help build and integrate REST APIs with Express

  • Model and query relational data with PostgreSQL and Drizzle ORM

  • Validate data at application boundaries using Zod

  • Write unit and integration tests, with support from the team

  • Investigate bugs and ship fixes that hold up over time

  • Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code CLI and Codex CLI in your daily workflow, and review their output critically

  • Work with AI frameworks and APIs as the team builds AI-driven capabilities into the product

  • Take part in code reviews, technical discussions, and deployments

  • Take on more ownership as your skills and product knowledge grow

What You Will Bring

  • Around 1–2 years of professional experience, including internships or equivalent practical work

  • Solid JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals

  • Working knowledge of React or another modern frontend framework

  • A basic understanding of Node.js, REST APIs, and HTTP

  • Some exposure to PostgreSQL or another relational database

  • Evidence that you can build software — through professional work, internships, university, bootcamps, freelance projects, or personal projects

  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows and automated testing

  • Genuine openness to AI-assisted development — working daily with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code CLI or Codex CLI, and with AI frameworks in the product

  • The judgement to review AI-generated code properly and explain anything you submit

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Comfort asking questions, receiving feedback, and acting on it

  • Clear written and spoken English

What's on Offer

  • Structured support — regular guidance, constructive feedback, and thorough code reviews

  • Growing ownership — start with well-defined work and progress to owning complete features

  • Private health insurance — support for your health and wellbeing

  • Learning budget — for courses and certifications

  • Modern tooling — paid access to leading AI coding tools and everything else you need to do your best work

  • Real product experience — features that solve meaningful problems for real users

  • Technical breadth — frontend, backend, databases, testing, and cloud infrastructure

  • A collaborative team — open communication, honest feedback, and room for different perspectives
