What this Journey Looks Like
As a Systems Administrator at a leading Canadian fintech company, you will be responsible for designing, building, automating, administering, and maintaining Systems, Servers, Storage, Cloud, and Infrastructure Applications. You'll help ensure the organization's infrastructure is secure, scalable, reliable, and efficient across both on-premises and cloud environments.

This role has a strong focus on reactive production support, VDI integrations, and serving as part of the primary response team, providing advanced L2/L3 troubleshooting for critical infrastructure. You'll also participate in the on-call rotation while contributing to data center migrations and hardware/software refresh initiatives.

What You'll Lead and Build

  • Participate in the migration of VM workloads to new storage and compute platforms.

  • Collaborate with application owners and internal teams to plan and execute infrastructure migrations.

  • Design, install, maintain, upgrade, and administer Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Linux in virtualized environments.

  • Support daily operations, including change requests, incident investigation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and remediation.

  • Provide reactive production support as part of the primary response team, delivering advanced L2/L3 troubleshooting for infrastructure and enterprise systems.

  • Support VDI integrations and participate in the on-call rotation to ensure high availability of critical services.

  • Maintain security, access controls, and infrastructure in accordance with corporate policies.

  • Provide technical support for escalated incidents and infrastructure-related issues.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate security and technology policies.

What You Bring to the Table

Location: APAC Region (Remote)
Schedule: Aligned with Canadian overnight operations (APAC daytime hours)

Must-Have Skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, or similar role.

  • Experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux environments.

  • Experience providing reactive production support with advanced L2/L3 troubleshooting in enterprise environments.

  • Experience supporting VDI environments or VDI integrations.

  • Experience working as part of a primary incident response team and participating in an on-call rotation.

  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts:

    • DNS

    • DHCP

    • VPN

    • TCP/IP

    • Firewalls

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.

  • Experience managing Active Directory or identity management platforms.

  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and English communication skills.

    Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with scripting or automation:

    • PowerShell

    • Bash

    • Python

  • Exposure to:

    • Docker

    • Kubernetes

  • Experience with monitoring tools such as:

    • Datadog

    • Splunk

    • Grafana

    • Prometheus
