Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Location: Sacramento, CA. This is an in-person role for the first 90 days, after which attorneys may work remotely while remaining local to the Sacramento area for occasional in-person meetings.

Note: Candidates must be located in the Sacramento area and have at least 2+ years of directly relevant civil litigation experience to be considered.

Job Description

  • Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Develop case strategies and provide practical legal guidance to clients.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Handle discovery, including written discovery, document review, and discovery disputes.
  • Prepare cases for mediation, settlement, arbitration, and trial.
  • Conduct legal research and apply California civil procedure and substantive law to active matters.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other legal professionals.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move matters forward efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

  • Active California State Bar license in good standing.
  • 2+ years of directly relevant civil litigation experience.
  • Strong experience with discovery, motion practice, and litigation strategy.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong client-service mindset and sound professional judgment.
  • Must be located in the Sacramento area.
