Job description

As a Sr Gas Phase Polyethylene (GPPE) Process Technology Design Engineer in ECI Group's North American based  Engineering Division in you will provide technical support to Gas Phase Polyethylene GPPE processing facilities.  This position can be filled in either our Baton Rouge, Louisiana or working remote in the United States..  This initial engagement has an estimated contract duration of 6 months.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a gas-phase polyethylene (GPPE) process technology design engineer for tuning during/after license plant startups.
  • Support continuous improvement of product, reactor technology, and capacity offerings to lead each license bid from technical standpoint worldwide.
  • Support process technology offerings and liaise with projects to ensure core technology is clearly and consistently applied to projects. 
  • Generate, standardize where relevant, and maintain updated technology guidelines and other technology related documentation such as Commissioning Guidelines, Training Packages and Project Manuals.
  • Serve as a contact for company with product partners with respect to their role on ECIG licenses technology including continuous improvement of product offerings.
  • Act as a Sr Process Deign Engineer on specified projects|proposals
  • Apply your in-depth knowledge of GPPE process technology and operations to resolve complex or unusual engineering or design problems.
  • Participate in plant startup and warranty run initiatives, with primary focus being to interpret and refine reactor model based on plant performance data.
  • Develop cost-effective (CAPEX and OPEX) improvements to ECIG's base GPPE offerings, keeping in mind leveragability considerations by projects.
  • Ensure ECIG GPPE technology does not infringe on other IP and verify adequate IP protection is in place for our own offerings.
  • Ensure ECIG GPPE technology offering meets all safety and operability considerations and warranted performance aspects.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Masters degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in GPPE reactor modeling and|or GPPE reactor unit operation process engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in GPPE plant operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced process simulation tools and engineering software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and deliver results within time and budget constraints.
  • Open to international travel.
  • Currently authorized to work in the US without need for sponsorship.
