Overview:

Sr. Content Designer / UX Writer – Marketplace Experience

We're looking for a Senior Content Designer to join our Digital Experience team and help shape the voice and content strategy for our growing healthcare marketplace. This role creates clear, trustworthy, and engaging experiences that help members confidently discover, evaluate, compare, purchase, and manage healthcare and financial products and services.

The ideal candidate combines content design, UX writing, behavioral science, and digital commerce expertise to create experiences that improve customer outcomes and business performance. Experience designing content for e-commerce, digital marketplaces, telehealth, affiliate marketing, or other customer acquisition and conversion-focused products is highly valued.

Success in this role is measured by your ability to create content that helps members make informed decisions, builds trust, improves engagement, increases conversion, and supports measurable business outcomes while maintaining a consistent, human-centered voice.

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Design and write clear, concise, and human-centered content across mobile and web marketplace experiences.
  • Develop compelling product descriptions, educational content, value propositions, and decision-support experiences that help members understand complex healthcare and financial products and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Create content across the end-to-end customer journey, including discovery, search, comparison, onboarding, checkout, notifications, account management, and post-purchase experiences.
  • Audit existing experiences to improve clarity, consistency, accessibility, customer confidence, and conversion.
  • Develop reusable content standards, voice and tone guidance, terminology, and scalable content patterns.
  • Partner with UX Design, Product, Research, Marketing, Legal, and business stakeholders to deliver clear, compliant, and customer-centered content experiences.
  • Define content strategies that improve customer education, engagement, conversion, and the overall marketplace experience.
  • Use customer research, analytics, experimentation, and business insights to continuously optimize content performance and customer outcomes.
  • Leverage AI-assisted writing and research tools to accelerate content creation, experimentation, and analysis while maintaining quality, accuracy, consistency, and brand voice

 

What you will need to be successful

  • 5+ years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, or Content Strategy for customer-facing digital products, with a strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and measurable business impact.
  • Experience creating content for e-commerce, digital marketplaces, telehealth, affiliate marketing, healthcare, fintech, or other consumer-facing digital experiences.
  • Exceptional content design, writing, editing, and information architecture skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, intuitive customer experiences.
  • Experience designing content across end-to-end customer journeys that support product discovery, decision-making, conversion, onboarding, and long-term engagement.
  • Experience establishing content standards, voice and tone guidelines, or content governance that improve consistency across products and channels.
  • Ability to influence product direction through content strategy, using customer research, analytics, and experimentation to improve content effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with behavioral science, accessibility, and AI-assisted content creation, with a passion for creating content that educates, builds confidence, and empowers customers.

This is a remote position.

Salary Range: $100,00.00 To $129,500.00 / year Benefits & Perks:

The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. This position will be eligible for performance-based incentives as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits including:

Onboarding & Travel

This is a remote role, with an in-person onboarding training component. New team members must participate in Trailhead, HealthEquity’s immersive onboarding experience Trailhead is designed to foster meaningful connections, support your integration into the organization, and equip you with a strong understanding of our business. Trailhead participation is a key expectation of this role. Trailhead is held onsite at our headquarters once per quarter. HealthEquity covers all required travel and accommodations. 

 

This role may begin with a virtual, self-paced onboarding experience, followed by a mandatory onsite Trailhead session at a later date.
