Position: Performance Engineer (C++, Python, Rust)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $70–$110/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Guide research and engineering teams to improve AI model performance in systems-level optimization.
  • Design challenging tasks across specializations and write accurate solutions to performance engineering problems.
  • Evaluate performance engineering tasks and provide clear, written technical feedback.
  • Develop guidelines and rubrics to assess systems design quality across AI workloads.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in training data.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while enhancing AI model training.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 2+ years of experience in performance engineering or low-level optimization.
  • Expertise in C++, Python, or Rust with familiarity in the others.
  • Proven track record of performance improvements on production systems.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage for 40 hours/week during weekdays.
