GENERAL SCOPE

Manages an assigned account, or group of accounts, with the primary responsibility to create value for the assigned customers through the technical service they provide; and identifying new product opportunities and selling to existing customers. A Sales Service Professional’s sole focus is to maintain revenue, price capture and to improve gross profit. A Sales Service Professional may work on attaining new business where appropriate, but that is not their primary assignment or job responsibility.

JOB COMPLEXITY

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for managing Diversey’s relationships within the assigned region with our key distributor partners.  This role will have direct and full responsibility for managing the distributor relationship with any regional distributors that operate within the assigned multi-state region.  Furthermore, this role will work closely with the National Key Account Distribution team to support the regional offices and local branches of major key distributors within the assigned region.  The incumbent will be expected to manage the high level distributor relationships with key stakeholders as well as drive the engagement between the regional sales teams and the field sales teams of the distributors in their markets.  The RMM will manage contracts, portals and pricing for their distributors as well as coordinate and lead sales training activities, business reviews and other business development activities with Diversey’s distributor partners.  This role may be asked to develop new distributor relationships in their markets as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage distributor relationships within the assigned region to include: contract, pricing and portal management, sales training and business development events (trade shows, customer events, etc), acting as a liaison between the regions field sales team and the distributor sales teams, executive level relationship management to include quarterly business reviews, joint business planning and other similar activities.
  • Work with and support the Territory Sales Managers within the region to ensure a strong alignment between the Diversey field sales teams and the sales teams of the key distributors in the region.    
  • Track and report on distributor performance, growth and other metrics, utilizing sales reporting tools such as Salesforce.com and other tools as necessary.
  • Develop and grow new distributors in the region as business necessity warrants to expand Diversey’s reach and footprint in the assigned region.
