Summary Description:

ISO 13485 Medical Safety and ISO 9001 REQUIRED

Under the direction of the Global Quality Systems Manager, the Sr. Quality Systems Engineer is responsible for providing support to business unit Quality Leads for standardized quality systems. These include data collection schemes, test methods, standard instructions, audits, manuals, and other routine quality systems areas.  All the elements of a sound quality system must be successfully ushered through the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable international quality system requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage and coordinate process for completing all new and annual com pliance documentation to customers including product safety, customer surveys, change control, capability studies, resolution of customer complaints, and quarterly reporting

  • Coordinate various certification audits and requirement submissions such as ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000. 

  • Understand DMAIC methodology and can lead projects at the plant level.  

  • Provide hands-on assistance for the implementation and ongoing utilization and maintenance of the elements of the QMS (Quality Management System.) These include corrective actions, supplier quality management, customer complaints, change control, audit processes, standard procedures, test methods, and process controls as required.  Super user for Infinity and other systems to provide support to plants as needed

  • Assist with and keep standard scorecards and reports for all aspects of quality, not limited to and including CARs, SCARs, Change Control processes.  Assist with identifying trends and reports that add value for our leadership teams’ decision-making.

  • Provide support to Thermoforming plant quality leaders in the application and implementation of quality management systems and documentation for the Global Food Safety and ISO 9001  certifications.

  • Provide high-level statistical analysis/output for trending and continuous improvement processes

  • Manage Supplier quality process for the Thermoforming platform, facilitate document requests and approvals for new and existing suppliers to meet product safety requirements.  

  • Provide support with division purchasing and inventory team to connect supplier data to Toppan data more easily

  • Leads and supports supplier quality audits, as requested 

  • Maintain customer and third party databases for compliance documentation including Trace Gains, Repositrak, customer portals

  • This position averages 50% travel. 

This is 100% remote position, 50% travel and must be located in the CST & EST time zone. Supporting All our Thermoforming facilities

  • Process and solutions oriented, provide problem solving support and guidance to manufacturing plants.

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is from $130,000 to $155,000
