POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss' Solar Civil Assistant Superintendents work in concert with the project management team to plan, schedule, organize and direct solar construction projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the Superintendent in communicating with subcontractors and employees a consistent level of expectations and direction regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits, safety, quality control and other performance standards

  • Create and determine work schedules; develop and implement a plan to maintain the project schedule

  • Overseeing quality of work performed and adherence to budge in the assigned areas of the project

  • Collaborates with Superintendent to ensure project site and company assets are secure

  • Manage contracts, subcontract documents, drawings, and local codes

  • Always maintains a safe working environment by implementing safety and quality control programs

  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 2–4 years’ experience as an Assistant Superintendent on solar construction projects

  • Exceptional ability to lead and manage others

  • Initiative and problem-solving skills are a necessity

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline or relevant experience

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

  • Computer Proficiency

JOB TITLE: SOLAR CIVIL ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

JOB LOCATION: FLORIDA, GEORGIA, NORTH CAROLINA - MULTI-STATE, REQUIRES HIGH TRAVEL

CLASSIFICATION: FULL TIME – EXEMPT – SALARIED

REPORTS TO: CIVIL SUPERINTENDENT   

This position requires frequent physical activity in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to handle loads exceeding that amount with assistance. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, loud noise levels, and extreme temperatures. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
