Job description

The University of Pikeville maintains a pool of adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and student learning. This application is for a position as a Dual Credit Instructor with UPIKE’s Dual Credit Program.


Applicants must be currently employed with one of our high school partners to be considered for the position.


Responsibilities:

  • Teaching the assigned course/s, uploading course materials to UPIKE’s learning management system (if needed), entering student grades, and adhering to all related deadlines and policies.
  • Submitting a copy of syllabi to the Dual Credit Instructor each semester.
  • Tutoring and mentoring students as needed.
  • Regular and responsive communication with the Dual Credit Coordinator and Dean of the appropriate college.


Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of a master’s degree and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the course you wish to teach.
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication, teaching and decision-making skills.
