POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will include providing services through Prairie Ridge Integrated Behavioral Healthcare’s virtual school-based program, which partners with local  Iowa school districts to deliver mental health services to students during the school day via secure telehealth. The therapist collaborates with school staff and families to support students’ emotional, behavioral, and academic well-being, while maintaining all confidentiality, documentation, and regulatory standards. Services are provided remotely, increasing access to care while minimizing disruption to the student’s school schedule.



TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Treat all individuals with dignity and respect while maintaining agency standards of confidentiality, professionalism and objectivity. 
  2. Provide intervention, evaluation/assessment, individual, group and family counseling to individuals affected by behavioral health conditions to include all outpatient treatment programs
  3. Develop and maintain a community referral network.
  4. Provide education and training to individuals, groups and agencies
  5. Assume 24 hour on-call duty once every staff rotation as needed.
  6. Maintain all regulatory, contract and documentation standards and data collection, and complete necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  7. Consistent collaboration and coordination of care between all Prairie Ridge services, including, but not limited to IHH and other services.
  8. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all documentation and reporting systems to include all state and national reporting systems, Accreditation Now, MyOutcomes, and Electronic Health Record
  9. Attend staff consultation, supervision and training activities.
  10. Proficiency in clinical practices identified as best practice by the agency demonstrated through supervision and direct observation.
  11. Demonstrate understanding and adherence to all CARF policies and procedures.  
  12. Maintain minimum productivity hours as set by the agency standard.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. For clinicians treating individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis, a minimum of a master’s degree in behavioral healthcare and a full license as a LMFT, LMHC, LMSW, LISW, or psychologist.
  2. Understanding of the mission of Prairie Ridge and the patients we work with.
  3. Proficiency in oral and written communication skills, as well as record keeping.
  4. Technology skills allowing for proficiency in use of electronic health record.
  5. Physical demands: The employee frequently lifts and moves up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
