Position Description:  
PingWind is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sr. Systems Administrator is responsible for leading the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of an organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, security, and scalability of systems and networks while providing advanced technical support and mentoring to junior staff. The Senior System Administrator collaborates with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades, cloud integrations, and enterprise-level projects.
Responsibilities:
Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT systems, including servers, storage, virtualization, and network infrastructure.• Ensure system performance, availability, and security across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and consolidations.• Monitor system health, performance, and capacity, proactively addressing issues.• Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.• Implement and enforce security policies, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.• Provide expert-level support for complex technical issues across systems, networks, and applications.• Guide and mentor junior administrators and IT support staff.• Serve as escalation point for critical incidents and outages• Advanced expertise in Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and hybrid IT environments.• Knowledge of networking, firewalls, storage solutions, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud migration strategies.• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform).• Strong understanding of security principles, identity/access management, and compliance standards.
