The client is a pioneering equity crowdfunding platform in the MENA region, democratising access to start-up investments for ordinary UAE citizens. In simple terms, where investments into companies such as Uber, Airbnb and Coinbase were previously gatekept to seasoned professional investors, now you or I could invest and own part of such a company through the client’s platform. This start-up was co-founded by two Lebanese entrepreneurs. They are UAE and London based, but looking to set up an office in Beirut. 

Our client is creating a next-gen equity crowdfunding platform built on Next.js, and are looking for someone who is eager to grow with them as they revolutionise the way startups raise capital.

Job Title: Senior Engineer Full Stack

Location: Remote/Lebanon

Working Hours: 9am - 5:30pm (Lebanon time) 5 days per week

Salary: 2500-3500 USD Monthly

Job Description

We're looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to join our startup, an innovative equity crowdfunding platform. If you're a software engineer who wants to contribute to the world of startups and fintech, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for. You'll become an important part of our small team, playing a crucial role in the development of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Collaborate closely with a small, agile team to develop and enhance our Next.js platform.

• Utilise expertise and implement innovative and reliable solutions.

• Work on the complete product lifecycle, ensuring seamless user interactions and pioneering features.

• Contribute directly to projects that will be highly visible to our users, shaping the way they engage with our platform and the startups they invest in.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years working with Next.js or React.

• Proficiency in the web development lifecycle.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to implement solutions.

• The ability to act as a tech lead, to help in the planning, and provide assistance to junior developers.

• Preferred - experience with implementing PWAs.
