Job description

RemoteLegalStaff exists because there are incredibly talented legal professionals all over the world who've never had a shot at the U.S. legal market. We place and fully manage remote legal staff for U.S. law firms, hiring from Latin America, the Philippines, South Africa, and beyond.

We're growing fast, and we don't just place people and disappear. We train them, manage them, go to bat for them, and help them build real careers.

Our internal team is the engine behind all of it. You won't be a cog here. You'll be the reason someone on the other side of the world lands an opportunity that changes their trajectory.

About the role

We're looking for an Account Executive who thrives in consultative, client-facing conversations and knows how to turn an inbound inquiry into a long-term client relationship.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for law firms and legal departments who reach out to hire through us. Your day will be built around consultations: understanding what clients need, helping them think through the right hiring approach, and confidently guiding them toward working with us. This is not a cold calling role. Every conversation you have is with a prospective client who has already raised their hand.

This is a high-ownership, consultative sales role where the quality of your conversations directly shapes how clients experience RemoteLegalStaff from day one. We have high expectations for how our clients are treated, and we need someone who holds themselves to the same standard.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the first point of contact for inbound law firm and legal department clients, running consultations and guiding them through how we can help
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand each client's hiring needs, team structure, budget, and timeline
  • Recommend the right engagement model and set clear expectations for what working with RemoteLegalStaff will look like
  • Close new client engagements and hand them off cleanly to the account management team
  • Manage a pipeline of active consultations, follow-ups, and proposals; keeping everything organized and moving without details slipping
  • Build trust quickly with attorneys, partners, legal ops leaders, and in-house counsel during initial conversations
  • Partner closely with marketing and operations to refine messaging, improve conversion, and share feedback from the market
  • Represent RemoteLegalStaff with the professionalism and care our clients expect from their first interaction with us

,

What we're looking for

  • Excellent spoken and written English — you will be representing RemoteLegalStaff directly with U.S.-based legal clients, and communication quality is non-negotiable
  • Available to work U.S. business hours with a start time between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM PST
  • 2+ years of sales experience in a consultative, client-facing role: inbound sales, account executive, business development, or similar
  • Proven ability to run a discovery call, qualify a prospect, and move deals forward to close
  • Strong communicator who can lead a conversation with confidence, listen carefully, and write clearly and concisely
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail: managing a full pipeline means nothing can slip, ever
  • Confident and poised when speaking with attorneys and legal professionals: our clients are lawyers and you need to hold your own in those conversations
  • Good judgment on fit and quality: you are not just closing deals, you are making real decisions about which clients are right for us
  • Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally with internal teams
  • Able to work well under pressure: consultations can move fast, and you need to stay composed and effective when they do
  • Self-starter who manages their own pipeline without needing heavy oversight
  • Experience in staffing, recruiting, or professional services sales is a plus, but not required

What success looks like

  • In your first 90 days, you will have run consultations end-to-end, closed new client engagements, and built strong working relationships across the team. You will know our ideal client profile cold, understand what makes a great-fit engagement, and have a clear, organized process for managing your pipeline. Clients will feel well taken care of from the very first conversation they have with us.

What we offer

  • Fully remote position with a flexible work schedule
  • Competitive base salary
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Anniversary loyalty bonuses
  • Company-sponsored health insurance
  • Generous PTO that increases with tenure (up to 30 days per year)
  • Birthday PTO day
  • 7 U.S. paid holidays
  • 5 paid sick days per year
  • Bereavement leave
  • Additional unpaid personal leave available
  • Home office stipend for equipment and workspace upgrades
  • Computer replacement stipend
  • Monthly internet allowance (increases with tenure)
  • Professional development and training programs
  • Education support for high performers
  • A collaborative, supportive team culture where people are genuinely invested in each other's success
  • A fast-moving environment where your work has real visibility and direct impact
  • Clear path to growth: we promote from within and reward people who perform
