Job description

About Ferry

Ferry is fixing the way people navigate healthcare. Today, patients and medical staff waste countless hours on the phone, struggling through complex insurance policies and outdated scheduling systems. Leading hospitals, insurers, and digital health companies deploy Ferry's AI platform to solve this problem for their patients. We offer an SMS-based concierge service that helps patients find and book the care they need — at no cost to them.

We’re looking for ambitious, detail-oriented Case Managers to join our small but mighty team and support patients on their journey through the healthcare system. In this high growth role, a case manager will help patients access care, all while shaping our operational workflows and AI-powered product.

What you’ll do

  • Guide patients through our care workflows with empathy and efficiency.

  • Manage tasks such as appointment scheduling, provider communication, insurance verifications, and patient follow-ups.

  • Use various internal and external tools like CRMs, databases, and scheduling platforms to track patient progress and case statuses.

  • Communicate with patients, practices, and providers via SMS, phone, and email — delivering a warm and supportive experience.

  • Identify and change internal processes to improve team efficiency and patient experience.

  • Create internal training materials and documentation as our workflows evolve.

  • Help mentor and onboard new team members as we grow.

  • Work flexibly and calmly in an environment where priorities can shift quickly.

🙋‍♀️ What you’ll bring

  • 2–3+ years of experience in customer service, healthcare navigation, project coordination, or similar.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a love for keeping things organized.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills — you’re great on the phone and over email.

  • Comfortable learning and offering feedback on new software tools (bonus if you’ve used CRMs or patient platforms).

  • Able to work independently and prioritize across multiple tasks and timelines.

  • Skilled at creating documentation and sharing knowledge with others.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to rapidly changing workflows.

  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in a startup or early-stage environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ($50,000 - $65,000) and early-stage equity.

  • Health insurance through Thatch with a generous monthly allowance to purchase the medical, dental and vision plans that works best for you.

  • 401(k) with a 4% match.

🌱 Why Join Ferry?

We’re a small but mighty team on a mission to transform how patients get care. As one of our early hires, you’ll have real ownership, an outsized impact, and a front-row seat to company growth. We value initiative, integrity, and improvement — and we invest in the people who drive us forward.
