The Need

We're seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial to partner directly with MyPrize's General Counsel in supporting the company's rapidly expanding commercial legal function. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing technology company where you will negotiate, draft, and advise on the agreements that power MyPrize's partnerships, technology, payments, vendors, marketing, and strategic initiatives.

The Role

As Senior Counsel, Commercial, you'll work directly alongside the General Counsel on the company's day-to-day legal matters, serving as a trusted legal advisor across Product, Partnerships, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, and Executive Leadership. You'll negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements, identify legal risks, improve contracting processes, and help the business execute quickly while maintaining strong legal protections.

As the company continues to scale, you'll help build a best-in-class in-house legal function that enables commercial growth while balancing practical business objectives and legal risk.

What you bring to MyPrize:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law.
• 3+ years of experience either:
• practicing as an associate at a top-tier law firm with substantial commercial transactions experience, or
• serving as in-house counsel at a high-growth technology company.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting skills across a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Practical business judgment with the ability to balance legal protection against commercial objectives.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to advise executives and cross-functional business teams.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent matters.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling technology company.
• Regular user of modern AI and LLM productivity tools to accelerate legal research, contract review, drafting, knowledge management, and workflow efficiency.

Gold Stars:

• Experience in gaming, fintech, payments, marketplaces, SaaS, or consumer technology.
• Experience negotiating technology, payment processing, licensing, marketing, affiliate, creator, and vendor agreements.
• Familiarity with privacy, advertising, payments, gaming, and consumer regulatory frameworks.
